Principal's Message

Jonathan Vincent

As we start into our February month, I wanted to update you on a few items as we are hitting the midterms of our nine weeks.

First, you can check your child's grades by logging into Infinite Campus.  You are able to see absences, grades and missed assignments.  If you have any questions about this, please feel free to call our guidance office and we will be happy to assist you.

Also, we all know February can sometimes offer challenges when weather hits.  Please know, if an NTI day is called, students are required to attend google meets with their teachers.  Our NTI schedule is on every google classroom and we also publish it on social media.  If students need help with a chromebook or internet, please contact the school.

February is an exciting month around WEHS as we are celebrating several different  occasions and it offers unique dress up activities for our students and also student assemblies.  February 6 - February 10, we will be celebrating Black History Month.  We will also be having an assembly on the 8th for our students.  February 13 - 17, we will be celebrating Acts of Random Kindness Week and our Youth Service Center will be leading activities for that week.  We will also be celebrating National FFA Week February 21 - 24.

I would also like to remind our parents that we have our Healthy Kids Clinic now open at WEHS.  If your child is ill, they are able to see a nurse practitioner here at WEHS instead of making a doctor's appointment.  The forms needed for this have already been sent home but please contact us if you have any questions or need another form.  This has already been used by several staff and students and it has been a great addition to our school and our goal of staying as healthy and safe as possible.

Some Dates of Interest for February:

2/7 - Registration 101 Night for incoming Freshman

2/9 - Board Meeting at WEHS at 5:30

2/15 - No School - PLC Day for Teachers

2/17 - ACT Bootcamp

2/20 - No School - President's Day

If you have any questions or need any assistance, please call the high school at any time and we will be more than happy to assist you.  270-781-1277
